Sleepless in . . . Brookings?

Howdy!

So I am currently laying in my bed listening to birds chirp with the sun slowly illuminating my room. Great! Over the past few nights I have been getting up around noon and heading to bed around three. Talk about a day well wasted. By being awake at this early hour I have realized something.

Sleep is overrated. Yes I know that sleep is vital, but why waste a day by sleeping in? I know I am going to fail at this, but watching the sunrise is just beautiful. It is an easy way to start your day refreshed. If I woke up at about six every morning I would have so much time to get ready in the morning and just relax and picture/think out my day.

With this whole revelation that sleep is overrated, like normal, I decided to plan out my future. This last semester I changed my major from Music Education to Music with a minor in Management. Wow big change I know! I really can’t decide if I want to teach, perform, or work for some sort of music company someday. I guess I would be happy with any of those choices, but I don’t know which one I would truly love. And I guess that means all of the people who are bored enough to read my blog get to follow me and find out what I choose to do.

Much love to all of you sleeping out there,

Adam
